SalesLoft (Salesforce version)
Follow these steps to ensure that your SalesLoft is set up to properly work with Gong. Because SalesLoft utilizes Gong's integration with Salesforce, you need to make sure you're synced correctly with Salesforce as well.
Note
If your SalesLoft integration is set up to require SalesLoft users to be logged in to listen to shared recordings (as shown below), disconnect your SalesLoft (Salesforce) integration, and integrate via API instead, using the advanced settings.
-
In SalesLoft, confirm that you're recording your calls:
-
Go to the Settings screen.
-
On the left, under Communication, click Dialer.
-
Click the Call Recordings tab.
-
Make sure Enable Recording is on. We recommend turning Team Recording Default on also.
-
-
Map the Call Duration to Salesforce:
-
Go to the Settings screen.
-
On the left, under Communication, click Dialer.
-
On the left, under Data, click Field Configuration.
-
Click the Activity Fields tab.
-
In the Call Duration field, on the right, click More (...) and select Edit Mapping.
-
On the Edit Field screen, make sure Call Duration appears in both fields, and click Save.
-
After you complete the SalesLoft setup, you need to go into your Salesforce and surface the Call Duration field on a task by following these steps.
Note
You must be an admin to perform these steps.
-
Go to your Setup page.
-
On the left, under Build, search for and click Task Page Layouts.
-
On the right, under Action, click Edit.
-
Locate the Call Duration field and drag it to the Additional Information section on the layout.
-
Click Save.
After you start recording calls in SalesLoft, your tasks should look like this:
